Our Goal
The DEM project seeks to elevate the development and use of digital textbooks to a higher standard. It offers actionable guidelines and prototypes for creating digital textbooks that thoughtfully integrate pedagogical, design, technical, and accessibility considerations. The DEM project ensures the production of digital textbooks that fully address the diverse needs of all stakeholders involved, from creators to end users in the educational landscape.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Bridging Theory and Practice in
Digital Textbook Development
Over the course of the project, we will implement three core components, moving from theoretical foundations to practical digital execution.

Analysis
A scientific examination of digital textbooks assesses the current state of development and critically evaluates existing implementations.

Guidelines
Comprehensive guidelines illustrating how to create digital, accessible textbooks.

Prototypes
Prototypes serve as the practical application of the guidelines, addressing specific examples and real-world challenges in school settings.
